2020 “Seed Teacher Project”–Training Course (1)

May 16th is the first class of seed teacher training. In compliance with the government’s epidemic prevention measures, it was conducted online. We were honored to invite Teacher Rong Yuan Chen to kick off the course for everyone. Teacher Chen has a wide range of qualifications and he was also very kind.  Although on-line course has separate him from the students through a screen, but we didn’t feel the distance. First, teacher Chen played a video clip that was circulated on the Internet. The content was a parent teaching his child how to divide. In the video, you

“Seed Teacher Recruitment” – online video conference

On the afternoon of April 12th, we held the 2020 Seed Teacher Recruitment Meeting. In line with the government’s efforts to prevent the epidemic, we have also changed the meeting to an online video conference. Nearly 20 people went online to participate in the meeting. Volunteers were all looking through a screen at new faces that were not familiar. This time we brought Frisbee, puzzles and candies to these kids. Because puzzles could train children’s concentration, logical thinking and observation, it was a good multi-skills game. The volunteers also had a great time playing with the children. The person in charge, Master Ruxin, has been committed to education.  She is very concerned and have always been dedicated to children’s learning. The main children

2019 Nepal trip – Volunteer Sharing

The trip in Nepal, unexpectedly, ended faster than I thought. I felt that I just integrate into the local culture and society, and then I realized that the journey was nearing to the end and I was ready to go home. This was an unforgettable experience for me during this trip. The trip gave me a completely different experience as I became more involved in Nepal and more integrated into the pace and culture of local life. The experience was different every day. In addition to walking into the spectacular buildings of different temples, the interaction with local

2019 Nepal trip – The most touching moment

The most touching moment in this Nepal trip were the activities carried with the little monks. In our understanding, we often felt that little monks had left their home and came to the monastery without the warmth and care of their family, and that they would unavoidably feel lonely.  Yet what we saw was that little monks studied very hard and had much fun with their friends. They were studious and lovely. It was especially profound to see the little monks playing with their teachers. In my impression, the teacher was always serious and attentive to the students.
