On March 12, our director and volunteers came to the consultation center of Chi Nan International University in Nantou. Today was the day of volunteers regular meeting at the center. The director of DENER spent a few minutes to explain the seed teacher recruitment plan and philosophy.

Given the pandemic time, everyone was wearing masks that day. During the presentation, the students listened carefully and asked questions enthusiastically. The director patiently responded to the students’ questions one by one: In addition to providing material support to less fortunate children in Taiwan and abroad, DENER hope to help them fundamentally through teaching. Since the “Reading for Learning” project started in 2016, many professional volunteers have used lively and interesting teaching methods to help many less fortunate children in Taiwan and abroad in order to make the children enjoy reading again. Now more than ever, we need to have more fresh forces joining us.

DENER provides a diverse stage for aspiring young people: For those who like children and are interested in education, should come to participate in the professional training courses. After training, volunteers will lead reading camp or participate in short-term and long-term services. For other volunteers who wish to provide services, they can also use their expertise to assist as well. Finally, we invited everyone to sign up for the recruitment briefing on April 12, in which, more details will be provided.
