Stationery Program – Taiwan Remote Schools (1)

The first batch of stationery we ordered for children were delivered to DENER. For a long time, children in remote mountainous areas lacked extracurricular resources such as art, music, reading and sports, and these are important subjects that would inspire children’s creativity, thinking and action. In order to ensure that schools in rural areas could run with peace of mind, we also tried our best to assist them in this aspect of resources. Children like drawing very much. This year we also ordered the large crayons and pencils with SIMBALION. A few days ago, DENER volunteers also come

A warm gift during extraordinary times

In mid-May, friends of DENER contacted us, hoping to donate medical masks to the people who lived in remote areas of China. Learning about the news, our volunteer team in Shanghai, quickly contacted our long-term cooperative schools and Buddhist institutes to inquire about the situation. After gathering their requirements and delivery details, our volunteers work with friends’ factory down south to send masks to schools in the shortest amount of time. Over the past few days, 76 boxes of more than 150,000 masks have been delivered to elementary schools, junior high schools and Buddhist institutes in remote areas

2019 Bodhgaya, India – The sweet that you can’t bear to eat

The plane slowly landed at our destination-Bodhgaya, India. It was still the dusty road, the rumbling sound of car horns, and tuk-tuk swirling among the people. This reminded us that we have returned to the lively India. On our second day in India, volunteers from DENER Children’s Foundation was led by Ru Xin, principal of the Karuna School, to visit their schools and distribute stationary.  First, we came to Kashipur, which was about an hour’s drive from Bodh Gaya. Kashipur District was a slum area in India with about 70 households. Being oppressed by Brahmin landlords for a
