Stationery program ongoing

In 2021, the world is still surrounded in the epidemic, the borders of various countries are still blocked, and Taiwan has once again faced the crises. Despite the difficulties, we would like to thank all friends for their assistance in making the stationary project run smoothly.

Children’s need

It has been eleventh year since we started the program with first pen. Over the years, we have added a lot of stationaries based on the feedback from remote schools and through the different needs of the students. In particular, in the areas that would most inspire children’s creativity, aesthetic ability and mobility during their growth.

This year’s stationery projects in included:

  • 3,580 boxes of crayon
  • 1,800 boxes of eraser
  • 900 small scissors
  • 50 bottles of ink
  • 156 sets of angle meter
  • 100 flute recorders
  • 12 dictionaries

Also included 328 folders donated by generous people.

Santa Claus in green suit

This year’s stationery project, we received great assistance from Taichung Post Office. The postman was like the Santa Claus, drove a big truck to our office. “These are some heavy things!” he said with a smile. We worked together to load the supplies into the truck, which was full of stationery to be sent to the remote school. Thanks to the Taichung Post Office for helping us delivering love to all places.

Passionate feedback from the school

Children and schools had also been sharing many photos with us. Some schools took these goods as prizes and encourage children to be diligent; some schools put these goods in the art classroom for children to share, and they also created a lot of art!

Equal opportunities for diverse learning

Looking at the children’s paintings and happy smiles, we were very touched. In 2021, Taiwan has gone through a more severe epidemic crisis than last year. While the economy was stagnant and uneasy, DENER still received everyone’s support. We were sincerely grateful. Although there is gap between city and country, we still hope that children can have equal opportunities to accept diverse learnings. Year after year, with the expansion of this stationery project, we were very grateful to the generous friends who had always supported.

Because of you, this program continues to benefit children in need. We are also looking forward to more people in joining our project.  Everyone’s little efforts interweave into a tight network, connecting to the corners of remote villages. A box of crayons in the hands of children from remote villages not only draws colorful colors, but also depicts a beautiful future.
