Teaching guidance before class

As we approached the end of the semester, we came to Hu Zhu Elementary School in Nantou County. Teacher Xu Hui first asked about the content of the previous course, and children raised their hands to answer. It turned out that they have absorbed more than we thought. We hope the kindness conveyed by the picture books could be buried deep in the hearts of children, maybe this is the most important meaning of reading.

Divide the class to enhance children concentration

This time, we made little changes to the class and divided the children into two classes. The first-grade students were led by teacher Xu Hui, the second grade was taught by teacher Du Du. In the first-grade classroom, teacher Xu Hui brought the picture book “Angry Soup” to teach the children that “angry” is a normal emotion. It is something we can control and practice. At the end, the teacher took children outdoor for an extension activity “Cook a pot of angry soup”, which made them giggle. The picture book Teacher Du Du brought to second grade was “Disappear!” In addition to lead children’s reading, she also led children in reflecting the impact of “disappearance” in nature, and how everything has two sides.

Christmas with children

Christmas is coming and the teachers also prepared some Christmas gifts for the children. Children lined up in an orderly manner and couldn’t wait to unpack the surprises we had prepared. In this way, the course came to a successful conclusion with laughters. By receiving the gifts as blessings, we hope the children would all have a happy Christmas.
