Love have no distance-tablet project follow-up report

2021/08/29

“Many of our children don’t have any equipment during online teaching, and they have to wait for their parents to get home from work and use their parent’s phone to participate in the class.”

“When phone rings, online courses would be interrupted, and it will take them a long time to come back online.”

“My eyes are so tired after looking at the small phone screen all day…”

This was the story that happened in the remote elementary school in Nantou County.

Online teaching was not easy to implement in the mountains where resources were scarce.

Hence, we decided to collect second-hand tablets. With everyone’s support, we were able to deliver all 51 tablets to remote elementary schools in mountainous areas before the new semester start.

Teachers from three remote elementary schools and mother of a family told about the epidemic.
