Children from Remote Village (1) — Baima Jiangcuo My Home

2018/03/19

The Juela school in Yushu, Qinghai is one of the remote schools supported by the DENER. Children from far away villages were scattered across the mountains and ravine, the school was located in the middle of mountains, but from their home to school takes at least five hours. Therefore, the only option for children studying here was to stay at school. Becoming a boarder at the school, the student not only has to endure staying away from home, but also need to learn to take care of themselves.  Because the local economic situation was generally very difficult, those who could be educated often carry the deepest expectations from home, therefore children cherish the opportunity to learn. This time, through their writings, we will get a deeper understanding of their inner story.
